Loli is one of the beauty brands I have been the most excited about in the last year. The second I stumbled upon it, I was immediately obsessed, and needed to know absolutely everything about it. Each Loli product is made with sustainably sourced ingredients that are fair-trade, organic, and food-grade. To top it all off, all the packaging is recyclable and reusable. Additionally, there is no water in the products– literally, there is not an ounce of waste of any of these formulas. Overall, Loli is exceedingly exciting and trailblazing in every way, and is truly a unique beauty concept.
This is an extremely decadent product. It is the type of product that makes you feel like you are letting your skin bask in its glory. It is a 3-in-1 “miracle balm”, that is the ultimate multitasker. Inspired by an Ancient Egyptian super salve, this date nut brulee acts as a cleanser, moisturizer, and body balm. Essentially it can be used anywhere, and I have certainly put this balm to the test. The inkey list is short: date nut oil, olive oil, tamanu oil, and sunflower wax, yet the star ingredient is the date nut oil. This precious oil grows in harsh climates, so is naturally incredibly robust, and Loli sources their date nut oil from a union of women’s groups in West Africa. The ingredients are full of fatty acids, antioxidants, protective Vitamin E, and minerals including calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, and zinc. Date nut seed oil also has antimicrobial properties, which defend the skin from bacteria and help reduce inflammation
This brulee has a balmy texture, and it has the most gorgeous, sweet scent (honestly, I am addicted to the natural fragrance of this balm, and wish it came in a perfume). When I use this product as a cleanser, I warm a pea-sized amount between my fingertips, massage it into my damp skin, and wash it off with a towel or microfiber cloth. I will then follow up with a gel or foam cleanser to ensure that my double cleansing routine is absolute perfection! It really works effortlessly to remove even the toughest of waterproof makeup, and won’t strip the skin while it cleans it. When I want to use this product as a moisturizer, I will cleanse, tone with the Loli blue cornflower water or lavender chamomile water, then seal everything in with a light layer of the date nut brulee.
I love to pack this product when I am traveling, as it is the ultimate multitasker. It is a hydration powerhouse that works just as effectively on the face, as it does the body or lips. My skin always looks ridiculously glowy the morning after I have used this, and it is the first product I reach for when I need some TLC from excessive retinol trials and tribulations.
